About CCTE

Cat’s Cradle (Tiger’s Eye) is a Proletarian Internationalist organisation that assists comrades who are involved in communist, anti-imperialist and pan-African struggle in different parts of the world. We are linked to the School of Many Questions in Chicago, and we have members in Chicago (US), Dundee and Aberdeen (Scotland), and Birmingham (England).

We are active on three levels:

  • We run workshops for ordinary people in our own localities (Aberdeen, Dundee, Birmingham, Chicago)
  • We run workshops with comrade organisations in the UK and in the USA
  • We support our comrade organisations to develop their pedagogical work (teacher training and exercise development) in West Africa, Panama, Canada, Palestine and elsewhere.

Do you want to talk through your political education problems? Please get in touch. We also run regular online ‘International Political Education Study Sessions’, which are open to all, and which you are welcome to join. In addition to English, we are able to work functionally in Spanish, French, Portuguese and Arabic. That means we can meet using those languages and translate texts on request.

We support comrades in Panama, Palestine, and Burkina Faso. At the moment we are helping to raise money for JR-16’s (Juventudes Revolutionarias-16)’s educational activities in Panama - if you have any money to spare, please donate here.

Mostly, we are concerned with the correct relationship between revolutionary theory and practice, or the correct relationship between learning and action. We work on a voluntary basis and appreciate donations to our comrade organisations:

JR-16 - DONATE HERE

JR-16 are a youth organisation who are  committed to the consciousness-raising required for Marxist-Leninist struggle. They run an impressive programme of educational activities for young people in Panama, and materially continue the Panamanian struggle against imperialism. We have been honoured to have the opportunity to meet with them, learn about their pedagogy, and make some small contributions to their programmes.

Thomas Sankara Centre - DONATE HERE

The Thomas Sankara centre is a Pan-Africanist educational centre working in the revolutionary tradition of Thomas Sankara. They teach young people through the communist tradition of the Young Pioneer program. The centre has a range of hard-working teachers, who want to raise the next generation to have an anti-imperial consciousness and an internationalist understanding of the struggle. We look towards the people of Burkina Faso and the developments of the Alliance of the Sahel with great respect and support. We are ready for African Liberation!
